Impact of Overseas Remittances on Economic Growth 1970-2019 Case of Algeria

Abstract
The aim of this research is to provide a clear holistic picture of theoretical frameworks and empirical studies that have attempted to analyze and explain the mechanism and channels of impact that Remittances in Economic Growth. In addition, building an objective Empirical model that can clarify the nature, value, and direction of this effect. the methodology of autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL), and unconstrained error correction model (UECM/ (were used for Algeria the period (1970-2019).
The results showed a positive and significant effect of external transfers and foreign direct investment on economic growth, while the effect was negative and insignificant for total domestic savings on economic growth. This pushes towards the possibility of adopting external remittances as one of the variables that enhance economic growth in Algeria.
