Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the nature of the relationship between the flow of foreign aid and poverty in Lebanon during the period (1990 - 2018). The research has used the unit root and common integration test. The research is based on the Victoria Auto Regressive (VAR) and dynamic analysis model by analyzing the components of variance and a function  Immediate response,  The research concluded that there is a positive effect of foreign assistance in reducing poverty in Lebanon during the research period, but this effect does not last for a long time and this may be due to the weakness of public institutions and the spread of financial corruption and political and security instability,  The fight against financial corruption in Lebanon and institutional reform is a necessary condition for maximizing the benefits of foreign aid to the poor in particular and to the country's economy in general.
