Abstract
This study aims to clarify the vital role of information technology capabilities in enhancing the success of management information systems at the University of Mosul. In order to achieve the objectives of the current study; A hypothesis chart was designed and a set of hypotheses were developed to test the nature of the relationship between the hypothesized study variables. This study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that information technology capabilities, represented by (infrastructure capabilities, human capabilities, and dynamic capabilities, as well as the information technology relationship capability) have a significant impact on the success of information systems, as these capabilities work to increase the operational efficiency of systems. Information and enhance the success of its implementation, which leads to ensuring its reliability and adaptability. The study recommends the need for the competent authorities at the University of Mosul to pay attention to the information technology infrastructure and develop the skills of its employees, as well as developing information systems that are centered on the beneficiary and meet their needs and expectations in order to ensure the success of administrative information systems at the university.
