Abstract

The main objective of the research is to know the role of empowering workers with its dimensions (meaning, efficiency, self-determination and influence) in the level of organizational commitment in its dimensions depending on the sequence of its dimensions of emotional commitment, normative commitment and continuous commitment (continuity). In line with the objectives of the research and in harmony with the main research problem (What is the role of empowering workers in their organizational commitment?). The General Directorate of Education in Salah al-Din Governorate was chosen as a field for research. The research community was represented by the workers working in the departments at the headquarters of the directorate’s office as the main axis in the conduct of the work of the directorate in all its main and sub-sections, which numbered (175). The number of individuals who answered the questionnaire was (99). The questionnaire was used as the main tool for research to collect data and using the descriptive and analytical approach. On the dimension of influence, while the other three dimensions were not affected. Therefore the researcher made a number of recommendations, including: It was highlighted by the organization's work on instilling the spirit of empowerment in the workers by showing interest in the aspects of skill and efficiency enjoyed by the workers and enabling them more clearly in relation to their job duties.
