The research aims to analyze and measure the impact of consumption spending on the national income levels of Iraq. The autoregressive distributed delay (ARDL) model was used to find out the effect of the relationship between the independent variable (consumer spending) and the dependent variable (national income) using a short-run relationship test coefficients, Bound test (and long-run coefficients), and in order to verify the results, a time series extending from 2005-2020 was relied upon. The research reached a set of results, the most important of which was the presence of a positive impact of public consumption spending on national income in The short term, as an increase in consumer spending by one million Iraqi dinars leads to an increase in national income (2.1) million Iraqi dinars. The research also found a co-integration relationship between the independent variables (consumer spending) and the dependent variable (national income). In addition to the existence of a relationship Long-term and the existence of a positive effect of the impact of consumer spending on national income, as an increase in consumer spending by one million Iraqi dinars leads to an increase in national income (2.1) million dinars Iraqi in the long term. The most important proposals presented by the research is to follow a fiscal policy that works to address structural imbalances in the structure of public expenditures that work to reduce the contribution of consumer spending from public spending. And follow control policies in order to put an end to the deviation in public consumption spending.
