The impact of some organizational determinants on total quality management practices/an exploratory study in the Mosul Iron and Steel Company in Nineveh Governorate

Abstract
The current research aims to identify the impact of the organizational structure and culture on the practices of total quality management/an exploratory study in the Mosul Iron and Steel Company in the Nineveh Governorate. 1. Do organizational determinants (organizational structure, organizational culture) affect the practices of total quality management in the industrial companies, the research sample? 2. Do the organizational determinants (organizational structure, organizational culture) differ in their impact on total quality management practices according to the opinions of the selected sample in the companies under study? In order to answer the questions that were mentioned above, a set of hypotheses were tested using appropriate statistical means, after collecting data through the questionnaire as a main tool. The questionnaire was distributed to the Mosul Iron and Steel Company by (64), based on a number of from personal interviews. One of the most important conclusions reached by the research is the existence of an effect between the organizational determinants represented by (organizational structure, organizational culture) and the practices of total quality management, and in light of these conclusions, the researchers were able to formulate several proposals, the most important of which is the need for managers’ attention at higher administrative levels In industrial companies with total quality management practices.
