Abstract

The study aimed to identify the extent of applying the principles of human resource governance in its eight dimensions (strategic direction, accountability, transparency, information generation, efficiency, fairness, responsiveness, participation) in some government hospitals affiliated with the Nineveh Health Department. The study expressed the problem in pivotal questions: What is the degree of adoption of the application of human resource governance principles in the field studied? The study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, and the study population consisted of (medical personnel) in the searched hospitals (Al-Salam Teaching Hospital, Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital) affiliated to the Nineveh Health Department, and to test the validity of the hypotheses, data were collected through the questionnaire tool and prepared for this purpose and a sample was selected The researcher used a questionnaire consisting of two parts, the first part was for the personal data of the respondents, or the second part was about the dimensions of human resources governance, then the researcher processed the data collected using the statistical program (SPSS) to obtain results and demonstrate hypotheses.In light of the results and their analyzes, the study reached a set of conclusions, including: The existence of a correlation to the application of human resource governance principles in some government hospitals, whether at the macro or sub-level.The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are: the necessity of adopting the excellent application of human resource governance principles, in addition to strengthening modern management concepts among medical personnel.
