Abstract
The study aims to identify the role of the strategic capabilities of the leaders in enhancing crisis management in the North Refineries Company /Al-Samoud Refinery /Baiji (the researched organization), by measuring the level of the variables that represent, the strategic capabilities that are divided into (organizational capabilities, and personal capabilities), And knowing the extent of the impact of individual differences for affiliates in terms of (gender, educational attainment, experience, number of years of service) on the level of crisis management in the institutions in which they work. What is the nature of this relationship? In terms of positive and negative personal traits and
characteristics, contributing to the development of strategic capabilities of leaders, and facing crises in the organization in question. The study sample consisted of (81) The results related from the point of view of the leaders in the North Refineries Company /Baiji that the trends of the study sample are positive towards all the variables of strategic capabilities, and the results indicated that there are dimensions of the strategic capabilities of the leaders of the organization in question, and that the degree of availability of all strategic capabilities is high. Its results indicate the need to pay attention to the issue of strategic capabilities and their role in crisis management, by increasing their responsibilities, expanding their job burdens, and working to improve the content of jobs, the quality of tasks, and the challenges required to complete the work, because all of this will create the appropriate organizational climate.
