The Role of Power Business Intelligence Applying in Financial Performance Analysis: An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees in Industrial Companies in Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Abstract
This study assesses the impact of Microsoft Power BI on financial performance analysis of industrial firms in Iraq's Kurdistan Region. Power BI has grown in popularity as a business intelligence tool as many companies can make data-driven decisions by using big data and digital tools. The study aims to address a lack of real evidence showing how Power BI supports important financial areas such as financial health, investment appraisal, cash flow management, profitability metrics, revenue analysis, and expense tracking.
A quantitative approach is employed to investigate this, and 20 industrial enterprises in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok were handed a pre-made questionnaire. Responses to 78 forms were gathered from 87 surveys that were sent. To determine the relationship between financial performance and Power BI's features such as cost reduction, productivity improvement, and competitive advantage, the data was subjected to correlation and regression analysis.
Based on the findings, Power BI has a beneficial impact on most financial areas, particularly revenue analysis, investment assessment, and profitability. Competitive advantage was the most impact of the variables examined, whereas cost reduction was less significant. The study concludes that faster reporting, better decision-making, and greater financial management are all facilitated by the use of Power BI to analyze big data in financial operations. This shows how beneficial BI technologies are for industrial enterprises in developing reign and recommends that more businesses use digital financial management systems.
