The impact of cloud accounting on the organizational performance: an analytical study

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the impact of cloud accounting on the organizational performance of the institution. The study adopted the descriptive–analytical approach by means of a questionnaire distributed to a sample of academic lecturers specialized in accounting at Iraqi universities, including Tikrit University, the University of Mosul, and the University of Kirkuk. The sample consisted of 204 individuals from accounting specializations. The comprehensive survey method was adopted for the research population in order to determine the research sample, as 192 questionnaires valid for statistical analysis were retrieved. This field was selected due to its suitability for the research topic, as the study is based on the academic perspective. After analyzing the data using appropriate statistical methods, the study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which was the existence of a statistically significant positive correlation between cloud accounting and organizational performance. This indicates that an expansion in the adoption of cloud accounting, according to the perceptions of the sample respondents, is associated with higher levels of organizational performance. The study also presented several recommendations, the most prominent of which was the necessity of gradually integrating cloud accounting systems into the Iraqi environment in order to reduce operating costs and improve the accuracy of financial data.
