Analysis of The impact of digital money on monetary stability in Iraq for the period (2015-2025)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the impact of digital money (electronic payment cards, POS, ATM) on monetary stability in Iraq for the period 2015-2025 using the descriptive and standard approach, and the research concluded that there is a one-way causal relationship of electronic cards to the exchange rate after two years, and from the exchange rate to inflation after a year, which indirectly affects monetary stability, it also turned out that there is no causal relationship of M2. Based on this, the first two hypotheses were accepted (indirectly) and the second, and the third was rejected. The research recommends promoting the use of electronic cards taking into account time gaps, and not relying on digitization alone to adjust liquidity.
