Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aims to test the availability of strategic groups, discuss its dynamics, and determine competitors’ priorities using cluster analysis, by studying a group of strategic dimensions represented by (prices, cleanliness, size, product variety and external appearance) for (9) restaurants operating in the city of Tikrit /Iraq as a field for the study. Data and information are collected using the case study method by looking at the price lists for its products, observation, interviews, and direct questions to the management of those restaurants and living with them, the study reaches a set of conclusions, the most important of which is the existence of strategic groups in the restaurant sector with varying sizes and powers of influence, and that its dynamics can be within and outside the strategic group. Competition priorities between competitors can also be determined according to the degree of danger of the competitor using strategic groups.
