الملخص

          إن النمو السريع للطاقة المتجددة، وخاصةً الطاقة الشمسية، كمصدر نظيف ومستدام وبأسعار معقولة، لا سيما في الدول النامية ومنطقة الخليج العربي والتي تتمتع بإشعاع شمسي مرتفع وموارد مالية كافية، قد أتاح فرصةً مهمةً لتقليل الاعتماد على الوقود الأحفوري والتوجه نحو اقتصاد منخفض الكربون. إذ تستخدم هذه الدراسة نموذج انحدار الانتقال السلس (PSTR) لدراسة العوامل المؤثرة على استهلاك الطاقة الشمسية في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، وتُظهر النتائج أن الحد الأدنى للاستثمار في البنية التحتية للطاقة المتجددة يبلغ حوالي(4.25%)، وإن تأثير الاستثمار على استهلاك الطاقة المتجددة بعد هذا المستوى يصبح إيجابيًا وهامًا.


          كما إن تحسين سياسات الطاقة، وتنمية رأس المال البشري، وتأثير تغير المناخ، والتطورات المالية، كلها عوامل تزيد بشكل كبير من استهلاك الطاقة المتجددة، وتؤكد النتائج على أهمية الالتزام الاستثماري الأولي وأطر السياسات المتماسكة لتسريع اعتماد التقنيات النظيفة في المنطقة. وفي النهاية تُظهر هذه الدراسة أن دمج العوامل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والبيئية في صياغة استراتيجيات الطاقة يمكن أن يمهد الطريق للانتقال إلى التنمية المستدامة وتحقيق أهداف خفض ثنائي اوكسيد الكربون.
